  • Park & Recreation Department prepares for Rec 'N Roll summer program

    The City of Midwest City Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce the return of the annual Rec ‘N’ Roll youth park program. Beginning May 29th until August 3rd, kids ages 6 to 14 can enjoy a fun-filled summer full of daily activity and outdoor adventure. Read more.

  • Welcome Center provides travel information to people from all over the world

    Since October 8, 1998, hundreds of thousands of travelers going eastbound and westbound on I-40 have found a great travel resource in the Oklahoma Welcome Center in Midwest City. From its opening, the center has provided travelers with information on local and state attractions, lodging, hospitality and events in the area, as well as throughout the state.   • Street Department purchases New Truck and Snowplow Equipment

    In October 2011, the City Council approved the awarding of a bid and entering into a contract for one or more new 2012 Peterbilt Model 348 twelve (12) yard, ten(10) wheel dump trucks with  Rush Truck Center who submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specification for a base price of $126,766.  In April, one (1) new truck and optional equipment for two (2) additional trucks was delivered to the city.  Read more.

  • Bike MWC Spirit Ride set for May 18

    The Community Development Department will once again sponsor the Bike Midwest City Spirit Ride on May 18.  The ride will begin at the Joe B. Barnes Pavilion in Regional Park, Reno Ave.  Read more.

  • MWC to host Made in Oklahoma event

    On Saturday, May 19, The Sheraton Hotel Midwest City Hotel at the Reed Conference Center will be transformed into an extraordinary setting for the inaugural edition of the Made in Oklahoma Wine, Beer and Food Festival. The event will showcase “A State of Great Tastes” in true Oklahoma style.  Read more.

City Provides Public Storm Shelters

The City of MWC provides public storm shelters at the following locations:

City Hall, 100 N. Midwest Blvd.
Reed Conference Center, 5800 Will Rogers
Fire Station #5, 801 S. Westminister

The shelters open as the City sounds the storm warning sirens.
